Regular Weekday Activities
Due to Covid-19 restrictions we regret that all Events, Groups and Meetings shown below are cancelled until further notice.
You do not have to be a member of the church to engage in any of the following activities. All are most welcome.
2nd Thorpe Brownies. The 2nd Thorpe Brownies have a weekly meeting in the church hall each Wednesday (in term time) starting at 6.00pm. New recruits to the Brownie movement are always welcome. Carol Dale would love to hear from you. Telephone her on 01603 702366.
Badminton. Club members meet to play in the church hall each Monday evening at 7.30pm. Please ring John Walters for details on 01603 439161.
Children’s Street Dance Classes. During term time these classes are held in the church hall from 4.45 to 5.45pm every Wednesday (in term time). If you are interested, contact Denise Baker on 01603 709009.
Fitness Through Movement, Exercise and Dance. Exercise in a friendly atmosphere and have fun on Fridays from 10.00 to 11.00 term time. For more information, call Ann on 01603 434107
Helm Players, founded in 1968 is a drama group which presents two plays a year – Spring and Autumn. New members will be particularly welcome. For further information contact the secretary on 01603 702796
Keep Fit classes for ladies are part of a program of activities provided by Norfolk County Council. The session at Heartsease is held each Wednesday in term time at 10.00am in the church hall. For more information, please phone 01603 453372.
Music Makers. This is a fellowship of people who like to sing both in church and in the community. We make regular visits to residential homes. Our music is a mixture of religious and secular, and we would welcome anyone who might like to join. Music Makers meet on Friday afternoons in the Epworth Room at 2.30pm. Patchwork and Quilting Group. This very popular activity takes place on two days a week, on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10.00 am. Term time only. Both sessions take place in the Plumstead Room. If you are interested, please contact Emma Shorten on 01603 493068.
Short Mat Bowls. We play on two days a week. On Tuesdays we play in the morning from 10.00 to 12.00, and again from 2.00 to 4.00pm. We meet on Thursdays with a morning session from 10.00 to 12.00. Why not join us? Enquiries to Eric Anderton on 01603 439471.
Troshers Accordion Club meets on Thursday from 2.00pm in the Hall. If you can read music and have a basic knowledge of piano or accordion, you will be welcome.
